This is the official USMC Scout Sniper Association “End of an Era” timepiece series, limited to only 317 across the various case models.

Overview

We are proud to present this one-of-a-kind timepiece recognizing the “End of an Era” for U.S. Marine Scout Snipers. Authorized by the USMC Scout Sniper Association and designed with input from its members, this watch will be produced in a serialized, limited edition of only 317, in honor of the Scout Sniper Military Occupational Specialty, MOS 0317.

We are proud to present this one-of-a-kind timepiece recognizing the “End of an Era” for U.S. Marine Scout Snipers. Authorized by the USMC Scout Sniper Association and designed with input from its members, this watch will be produced in a serialized, limited edition of only 317, in honor of the Scout Sniper Military Occupational Specialty, MOS 0317.

There are two watch models to choose from:

  • 44mm Tactical case - available in 4 variations.
  • 42mm Classic case - available in 2 variations.

The Tactical and Classic watch models are constructed of 316L surgical grade stainless steel, with sapphire crystal glass and screw down crown / caseback offering water depth rating of 300 meters / 1,000 feet.

Design Options:

  • Dial features the Scout Sniper logo @12 with the two options @6 [25th Anniversary or a Custom Graphic] – and the serial number of your limited edition watch.
  • The caseback engraving features the "End of an Era" logo, with your name/rank/callsign around the top and your class # or service date around the bottom.

THE STORY OF THE ARROW AND THE EAGLE:
Theearliest mention of the fable is a brief reference in The Myrmidons, alost tragedy of Aeschylus written in the 5th century BCE. So the eagle,pierced by the bow-sped shaft, looked at the feathered device and said,“Thus, not by others, but by means of our own plumage are we slain”.

This timepiece is more than a watch; it’s a testament to 80 years of faithful service by those who carry the title ‘Marine Scout Sniper’. It is also a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the USMC Scout Sniper Association.
The artwork on the back was conceived by SSA Member Chris Bacon, and it carries a great deal of relevant symbology. Your watch will include a card containing an explanation of the symbols contained therein, along with the Greek fable of the “The Arrow and the Eagle”.
Your purchase supports the mission of the USMC Scout Sniper Association. While the Corps may see fit to disband Scout Snipers for now, the mission of the USMC Scout Sniper Association has never been more relevant.

Caseback Engraving

The caseback engraving features the "End of an Era" logo, with option for 45 characters around the top for your name / rank / callsign, etc and 18 characters around the bottom for your class # or service dates.

Custom Caseback Design

Or we can develop a custom caseback design for you, to reflect your career. If you choose to develop a custom design, we will contact you after your order is placed, and will supply as many mock-ups and revisions until the design is perfect for you.

I am speechless.
There have been many times when I've heard folks say that they are speechless, but I never quite understood until now!! I am speechless. Or perhaps I am so impressed with the way you conduct business until formulating the word in the right sequence makes it hard for me to express my gratitude.

My age allows me to reflect on 'the way things used to be.' Too often I'm in despair because the business and customer relationship today has seemingly gone down the toilet. Then along come you. This is the way I believe transactions were handled in my youth. Each partner in the process did their best to honor an unwritten code of how things would progress. The buyer understood his responsibility, and so too did the seller. Of course things didn't always go as planned or as I'm portraying, but it was the ideal. 44mm tactical

The Tactical watch is 44mm case (49mm with the crown). The case thickness is 16.50mm. From lug to lug is 54mm. And the strap width is 23mm. It is heavy and beefy, and is constructed of 316L surgical grade stainless steel. It uses scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass, and a screw-down crown & caseback to offer a water depth rating of 300 meters (1,000 feet).

The case comes in 4 variations: stainless / pvd-black / stainless with black / black with stainless. The watch comes mounted on a black leather strap with choice of stitching color.

We offer the option to engrave on the edge of the case with a selection of quotes: Death from Afar, One Shot, One Kill, or enter your own text.

Tactical Movement

The watch is powered by Swiss Ronda 515HC Quartz (battery powered) movement. The battery should last about 2-3 years and then simply send it in for a quick battery swap, and perhaps an overhaul service to remove the years of scratches and marks your timepiece received along the journey.

We now also offer the Swiss Ronda 715 LI HC Quartz movement with 10-Yr Battery for $125.

Automatic Upgrade:
You can upgrade your timepiece to the Swiss ETA 2824-2 Automatic mechanical (self winding) movement, with 25 jewels for $415. This is the same style of movement as found in Rolex, Omega, Breitling. The automatic movement offers a few additional hand styles, including the Mercedes / Sword / Modern / Ploprof hands (we will send you visuals of each style when we're creating your mock-up).

An Automatic is another term for “self-winding”, meaning the watch winds itself using a rotor weight inside the timepiece which oscillates to apply tension on the mainspring of the movement through the random motion of the watch owner’s arm. This movement does not require a battery, but does require manual winding every few days using the crown to fully “charge the mainspring” and increase the timepiece’s accuracy because it’s running at full power. You should send your watch in for routine service every few years, to check and replace gaskets - just like your precision firearms, which you routinely clean and oil, a mechanical timepiece requires this care as well.

42mm Classic

The Classic watch is a 42mm case (46mm with the crown). The case thickness is 14mm. From lug to lug is 50mm. And the strap width is 22mm. The watch is water depth rated is 300 meters (1,000 feet).

The case is 316L surgical grade stainless steel. The glass is sapphire crystal. The bezel is a uni-directional bezel. The crown and caseback are screwed down, ensuring the depth rating.

The case comes in 2 variations: Stainless / DLC-black. The watch is mounted on a black leather strap with white stitching and buckle. We offer a solid metal bracelet as optional upgrade.

Classic Movement
